The Martyrologium Romanum from 1956/1962 names only Callistus and Charisius and also
names 7 companions, so Caristus, Chariessa and Calus (Cale, Calis) are possibly name variants of
Charisius, Lota of Leonides, Gallena of Galla and Nunechia of Nike; accordingly, apart from the
two named, all other women would be women. In the Roman Martyrology of 2001/2004
Leonides is named as the leader and with him the seven women Carissa, Galina, Theodora, Nica,
Nunecia, Callis and Basilissa.
