Saint Archangel Michael (celebrated on November 8) holds a significant place in the Holy Scriptures, appearing numerous times in both the Old and New Testaments. The name Michael means “He is like God,” and he serves as God’s messenger, imparting His righteous counsel to the people. In the final battle against the antichrist and the devil, Saint Michael will arise, casting the enemy into the eternal flames of the lake of fire. He is revered as the patron saint of the Catholic Church, soldiers, pharmacists, tailors, painters, the dying, and protector against storms.

On the left side:

Saint Great Martyr George (celebrated on April 23). George courageously saved the king’s daughter from a fearsome dragon, leading the entire kingdom to embrace Christianity.

Saint Hieromartyr Modestus I, Archbishop of Jerusalem (celebrated on December 18). Modestus was born in prison in 305. Despite his early orphanhood, he found solace in Christianity. He not only miraculously healed people’s physical and mental ailments but also extended his care to their beloved pets.

Saint Blaise, Bishop of Sebastea (celebrated on February 11), met a martyr’s death during one of the persecutions against Christians in the Roman Empire. He is counted among the Fourteen Holy Helpers, offering aid to those in need.

On the right side:

Saint Great-Martyr Demetrius of Thessaloniki, the Myroblyte (celebrated on October 26). Demetrius holds a prominent position in the Orthodox and Roman Catholic Churches. He is revered as the patron saint of Thessaloniki, Constantinople, Venice, and soldiers.

Saints Martyrs Florus and Laurus (celebrated on August 18) were stonemasons according to a Greek legend. Through their devoted preaching, many people in Illyria converted to Christianity. Furthermore, it is believed that their intercession led to the end of a severe horse sickness, thus associating them with the protection of horses.

Above them all is depicted Christ Pantocrator, blessing as the all-ruler.
